This is a 2012 Peterbilt with a 2012 side dump. We use this setup quite often. This setup can be very useful when you are doing concrete or construction. Not only can it be used to haul gravel and dirt, it can also be used for hauling trees and concrete. A dump truck could work to do most of the work. A side dump can haul a lot more though and also a lot bigger chunks.
